Q: Where are you located? Do you travel?
A: Tara Simpson Photography is located in the Washington, D.C. area. On occasion I travel for photography sessions.
Q: Is your photography pricing customizable?
A: Yes. I offer pre-established photography pricing that aims to bundle the most popular services and products, however because every celebration is unique pricing can be customized to fit your budget and photography needs.
Q: How early should I book my photographer or schedule my photography session?
A: My schedule fills up quickly, so be sure to make your inquiry as soon as you know enough information. I recommended that you contact me 6 months to 1 year before your wedding date. If your interested in scheduling a family portrait session, I recommend that you contact me 1-2 months in advance.
Q: I love your work! How do I reserve you as my photographer?
A: After you contact me, I will let you know of my availability, and we will arrange a time to talk on the phone/Skype/ or meet in person to go over the details. When I receive a signed copy of your contract your date is reserved.
Q: How will we receive the final images?
A: Your final images will either come on a USB drive that will be mailed to you after your photography session or they will be downloadable through your online gallery.
Q: Can I use my photographs on social media?
A: Yes! When you receive your images you will also receive low-resolution images with my watermark specifically for social media and email. Feel free to show them off, but please keep my watermark on the images.
Q: How much time should we set aside for bride and groom portraits during our wedding day?
A: I recommend setting aside at least 45 minutes for bride and groom photos. The more time you set aside, the more creative the bride and groom photos will be. Please remember that this does not include the time needed for formal family portraits or photographs of the bridal party.
Q: How long does it take to see our photographs after our wedding day?
A: Your wedding images will be ready 5-7 weeks after your event, if not sooner.
Q: Do you offer albums?
A: Yes! I offer high-quality beautiful hand made leather cover albums. Pricing depends on the cover options and number of pages. The base album starts at 20 pages.
